Wolfeboro, New Hampshire has a reputation as a bit of a secret celebrity haven. While pinpointing who currently owns a home there can be tricky, there are several famous people who have been known to spend time in Wolfeboro, including:

Actors: Drew Barrymore, Jimmy Fallon, Paul Newman, Sophia Loren, and Tom Hanks have all been spotted in Wolfeboro.

Political Figures: Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Monaco’s Prince Rainier and Princess Grace have vacationed there. Mitt Romney, a former presidential candidate, is also a summer resident – tour his Lake Winnipesaukee mansion here.

Others: Author Kurt Vonnegut enjoyed time in Wolfeboro, and J.W. “Bill” Marriott, Jr. of the Marriott hotel chain is another notable name.
